Dr. Randall may recommend a bone grafting procedure prior to providing you with dental implants or other restorations. Bone grafting helps to replace the deteriorated bone tissue in your mouth and provide you with a more secure foundation for your restoration.

A bone graft is an oral surgery procedure that may be required if your jawbone is not dense or thick enough to support an implant. During a bone graft, bone material from a tissue bank is placed where the bone is lacking and covered over so it can be integrated into your existing bone. Your body then reconstitutes this new bone creating a stronger, more stable foundation.
